Case Study - Margaret and Robert
Margaret is 78 and husband Robert is 82. Both were finding it more and more difficult to cope at home. Robert had had a mild stroke and looking after him at home had put a real strain on Margaret.
Things got even worse when Margaret had a fall and injured her ankle. Their children had to take it in turns to come and help out but with full-time jobs, and families, they just could not keep up the pace.
After assessing their care needs, their local authority department asked Unity to provide help for two to three hours each day. This meant that both would retain their independence whilst receiving much-needed help with a variety of personal care services.
Case Study - Elizabeth
Elizabeth had been seriously injured in a road accident and her medical assessment determined that she required round the clock medical and care support.
Unity were asked by her Local Authority to provide the specialised nursing and care service on a 24 hour basis. Our team of specialists work on a managed rota to provide Elizabeth with the care and support she needs. Elizabeth’s family are delighted at the support now provided for their daughter. "We are delighted with Elizabeth’s care team - they are fantastic and always take a person-centred approach which is what we were looking for,” Says Rosemary, Elizabeth's mother.
